Amanda Gearhart is a Bradley Method of Natural Childbirth Certified Childbirth Educator and an Evidence Based Birth® Instructor with a BS in Secondary Education from Penn State University. Amanda also serves as a La Leche League Leader, a volunteer position. La Leche League Leaders are experienced nursing mothers who have undergone training to offer practical breastfeeding information, education, encouragement and support during and between meetings. Amanda has taken an advanced training course from Evidence Based Birth® on how to help families get evidence based care. Amanda has experience with presenting to adult audiences; she regularly presents to expecting parents in her practice, which has included medical professionals, on childbirth education, childbirth research and maternal rights with excellent evaluation results. She teaches privately and in groups to expecting couples where she has designed the curriculum to suit the needs of her clients. Amanda has also completed a course from Evidence Based Birth® on how to effectively teach continuing education courses to professionals. This is Amanda’s third year of presenting an in depth childbirth education, where she teaches expecting families in the Augusta, GA region and beyond how to help families receive evidence based care during their birth. In 2019, Amanda became an Evidence Based Birth® Instructor.
