Mandi Wagnild is a certified birth doula, postpartum doula, and lactation counselor as well as a trained childbirth educator, located in North Dakota. Mandi has advanced training in keeping partners involved in labor support using the Gena Kirby Rebozo Method; preparing for a successful Vaginal Birth After Cesarean (VBAC); working collaboratively with clients, partners, nurses, providers, and other professionals; and the politics and challenges of both family-centered cesarean birth and vaginal breech birth. Before coming to birth work, Mandi spent seven years in the US Air Force as an Emergency Manager and adult educator. As part of a military family, she has lived in Germany, Hawaii, Ohio, Korea, Italy, and North Dakota. Each new location brings a new depth to her practice as she experiences working with incredibly diverse families, community birth workers, and maternity care providers. Over the years, she's been very involved in the communities she’s lived in including volunteering for Operation Special Delivery while in Hawaii, serving as a coordinator for an Improving Birth Rally in Ohio, and serving as the treasurer of the local breastfeeding support group in Italy. Mandi completed advanced training via Evidence Based Birth® in 2017, attaining the title of Evidence Based Birth® Instructor.
