Lisa Higuchi, BS, is a licensed paramedic, birth doula, Bradley Method® childbirth educator, and Evidence Based Birth® Instructor. Lisa has been a doula and childbirth educator for 25 years, and is currently the area Education and Clinical Quality Improvement Manager for American Medical Response, the largest private ambulance company in the US. In addition to her background in birth education, she has 20 years of adult education experience in Emergency Medical Services, training medical students, nurses, paramedics, and EMT’s on a variety of topics, including obstetric emergencies, trauma care, respiratory and cardiac emergencies, advanced 12 Lead EKG interpretation, airway management, and preventing medical errors, as well as CPR, ACLS, and PALS. Lisa is currently pursuing her Master’s degree in Biomimetics from Arizona State University. She teaches her childbirth education classes and provides doula services in the Inland Empire region of Southern California, primarily in Redlands and Murrieta.
