As the Founder and Executive Director of Women Honoring Women, Ruth Kraft, has been working with women and mastering her ability to nurture in a profound for way her entire life. After researching and having great interest in the birth process for many years prior, she then chose to turn it into a career. She is certified through 2 of the largest doula organizations for doulas, DONA and CAPPA. Ruth trained Labor doulas, Childbirth Educators and Lactation Educators for CAPPA until she resigned to train professionals through her own organization. She started Community Calling, a 501(c)(3) to help provide scholarships for birth professionals that need training. She travels all around the USA to share her wisdom with new birth professionals. She has enjoyed mentoring new doulas as much as empowering women through their births. In addition, Ruth is also certified through FOCEP (Florida Outreach Childbirth Education Project) as a childbirth educator and trained as a HypnoBirthing instructor through “HypnoBirthing, the Mongan Method.”
She is a Certified Lactation Educator and Certified Lactation Counselor. In 2010, she chaired the Breastfeeding Coalition of Palm Beach County and she has years of public speaking to groups of pregnant women in small offices or for larger groups. She enjoys volunteer work and has been a featured expert as a lactation specialist on AllExperts.com. She also has in the past served on the Parent Panel for SoloParenting, a local West Palm Beach TV show to help single parents cope with the struggles of being a single parent. As a birth worker, Ruth has experience with breastfeeding, attachment parenting, Hypnobirthing, Lamaze, home births, twins, breech vaginal births, special needs babies, preemies and more! She has taken courses such as Redirecting Children’s Behavior (RCB) and Conscious Discipline for the purpose of peaceful parenting. She became an Evidence Based Birth® in 2017, after completing intense advanced training in how to provide families with evidence based care.
