Alayna Spratley is the founder of Cleveland Natural Birth. She is a Lamaze Certified Childbirth Educator, Birth Boot Camp Instructor, Community Educator with Indie Birth, and an Evidence Based Birth® Instructor and Professional Member. She is honored to support expectant parents and maternity care professionals throughout Cleveland and greater northeast Ohio. Alayna is committed to helping families, community stakeholders, and professionals engage in meaningful conversations regarding birth equity and respectful maternity care practices! Alayna supports using a collaborative grassroots education and action model to ensure all people have a voice in improving birth outcomes for individuals, babies, and families.
In addition to her work with Cleveland Natural Birth, Alayna is honored to serve as the volunteer Assistant Director with Babies Need Boxes Ohio. Babies Need Boxes is a non-profit organization that provides a safe-sleep environment (baby box), perinatal education, newborn essentials, and community and breastfeeding resources to expectant and new mothers, in order to facilitate positive parenting decisions and healthy child development. Alayna is also thrilled to be a community advocate with the HealthConnect One Birth Equity Leadership Academy (BELA). HealthConnect One is a national leader in advancing respectful, community-based peer-to-peer support for pregnancy, birth, breastfeeding, and early parenting.
