She pairs with a licensed clinical therapist to support parents through the postpartum period. She has taken additional classes to support abuse survivors through birth and breastfeeding. Amanda is a professional member of Evidence Based Birth®. She has completed their classes on helping families receive evidence based care, including understanding their rights, maternity care teams and systems, various birth settings, labor support, education, and birth plans. She has taught both private and group classes for parents in a supportive, nurturing environment that allows her to tailor her presentations and discussions to each and every client. Many have appreciated her gentle, compassionate, and light-hearted approach, especially as she tackles the most difficult parts of birth. Amanda has a knack for speaking to partners and support personnel in a way they understand, often incorporating interactive elements in her presentations. Her goal is to elevate the experiences of parents and birth workers by merging current, evidence-based information with compassionate support and personal touches in a format accessible to all.
