Michelle Gabriel-Caldwell is a trained and certified childbirth educator (Evidence Based Birth and Bradley) and doula. She has over 14 years of experience in both these areas. As a birth professional, Michelle has taken additional courses in postpartum doula training and breastfeeding peer counseling. Educating women about their options during their birth journey is her passion. As a woman of African descent, she wants all women to understand the role they play in healing each other while saving ourselves. Becoming a founding member of the National Black Doula Association and NJ Birth Justice Collective helps to address the needs in her community. In addition, Michelle holds science degrees and works full-time for a Germany based chemical company from her home in New Jersey. Michelle has also been asked to speak at multiple childbirth education classes and events to discuss the doula care model and had a guest speaker spot on a local radio broadcast to discuss ‘Black Women Dying During Pregnancy.” In 2018, Michelle passed a vigorous training by Evidence Based Birth® to successfully become an EBB Instructor.
