Taiwo I Adeloye-Ajao is a Maternal-Child Health advocate with 20 years of experience in the Greater Baltimore and the DMV areas. She is a Registered Nurse with certification in Maternal & Newborn Nursing; a Certified Birth Doula; a Lamaze Certified Childbirth Educator; a Master of Public Health; a board-certified Lactation Consultant; an RN Birth Assistant for out-of-hospital birth, and currently a student of Midwifery.
Tia enjoys supporting physiologic birth and creating unique teaching modalities that empower families as early as preconception through the postpartum season. She is deeply informed by her own experiences as a mother of two and as a nurse at the bedside in both hospital, birth center and home birth settings.
Tia is co-director of non-profit Hello Baby Events where she provides perinatal education "for the whole village" and advocates for the community doula & the Black Midwife. She also serves a Fellow with The National Black Midwives Alliance and serves on The Stork's Nest Committee for her Chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Incorporated.
